Large luminous mirror, yellowed white translucent ABS structure drawing five successive waves forming unwaying effect. Internal lighting by pink neon lights. Height 190 cm, width 104 cm, depth 15 cm. Materials: thermoformed opal plastic frame with neon. Colors: opal white, neon pink. Icon of the postmodern era, the UltraFragola mirror was designed by italian master architect-designer Ettore Sottsass and produced in Italy by Poltronova, circa 1970. At 1m80 in height and 1m wide, this mirror has a resin frame that conceals neon tubes. Lighted, the mirror lights up in pink orange, turns off the frame is almost white. The mirror was presented at the third edition of Eurodomus in 1970. With its sinuous silhouette evocative of a wavy woman's hair, it belongs to the Grays series of furniture, bedroom and living room. All but the "Ultrafragola" remained at the prototype stage.
