Fat Lava Vase Carstens Tönnieshof – West Germany – 1960s

Very beautiful vintage ceramic vase by Carstens Tönnieshof, an iconic manufacturer of West German Pottery, dating from the 1960s. With its impressive height of 41 cm, this large model offers a lovely decorative presence, an elongated architectural shape, rhythmically adorned with reliefs, and remarkable textured glazing in beige, brown-black, and turquoise blue tones. Its raw and graphic decor is characteristic of the modernist aesthetic of German ceramics from this period.
