Pair of large Mid-Century floor vases – Ceramics La Bisbal, Figueras. A magnificent and rare pair of large floor vases (amphorae) made of Spanish artisanal ceramics, from the famous workshop Francesc Figueras I Fills in La Bisbal d'Empordà (Catalonia, Spain), a historic centre of art pottery. Period: Circa 1960 - 1970 (Mid-Century / Brutalist Design) Technique: Two-tone slip work (anthracite black / olive green shades) with a superb stylised plant decoration entirely incised by hand (sgraffito technique). Exceptional detail: Each vase is equipped with two handles adorned with movable ceramic rings, a true artisanal technical feat. Marks and Signatures: Official stamp under the base "Pca. FIGUERAS - LA BISBAL - MADE IN SPAIN" accompanied by the artisan's monogram engraved in the clay. Dimensions: Height 55 cm. Condition: Superb vintage condition, beautiful original patina. No major cracks, the movable rings are intact (see photos). Ideal for interior decoration in a brutalist, ethnic chic, or modernist style. Imposing and highly decorative pieces. Hand delivery is strongly preferred given the size and fragility of the pieces.
