Superb large vintage painting from the 60s-80s by John Haanstra, a Dutch painter, depicting a colourful winter urban scene in a street with pretty buildings populated by small figures strolling and shopping. Very fine details, magnificent technique, beautiful light. Oval format, wooden frame, gilded with rococo/art nouveau gold leaf. Dimensions with frame: 61x50cm, thickness 2.5cm. Format alone: 50x40cm. In very good condition, nothing notable apart from a few small scratches and signs of time on the frame, discreet and harmonious. Approximately 2kg.
