The 'Nictea' Pendant, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Flos in 1961, showcases a unique and elegant style. The lamp features a delicate, sculptural shade with light filtering through perforations, accompanied by a bladed glass lens that focuses light downward, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadow. This iconic piece is documented in Giuliana Gramigna’s '1950/1980 Repertorio', Editions Mondadori, 1985, p.175. It is from the design period of 1960 to 1969 and was manufactured in Italy. While the cable may be original and could require replacement, the lamp is in very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, but no defects. Materials include brass and steel. Please note that export processes for rosewood items may take an additional 2 to 4 weeks.
