Nictea Pendant attributed to Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Flos, Italy, 1961

The 'Nictea' Pendant, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Flos in 1961, showcases a unique and elegant style. The lamp features a delicate, sculptural shade with light filtering through perforations, accompanied by a bladed glass lens that focuses light downward, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadow. This iconic piece is documented in Giuliana Gramigna’s '1950/1980 Repertorio', Editions Mondadori, 1985, p.175. It is from the design period of 1960 to 1969 and was manufactured in Italy.
