This now iconic piece is a bakelite table lamp type 1012 01 nicknamed "komisarka". It was designed by jan suchan and produced by elektrosvit nove zamky in czechoslovakia in the 1960s. The nickname "commissaire" comes from the fact that this lamp was widely used in police offices and in films, but also because at the time of its production most households had one or wanted one. The base and shade of the lamp are made of black bakelite, connected by two steel rods. The shade can be adjusted to different positions and heights by moving the steel rod. This piece is in very good condition, with some minor wear to the steel rods over the years. All parts (including the switch, bulb holder, cord and european plug) are original and fully functional. The whole thing was disassembled, cleaned and reassembled originally. Collected by us.
