Table 1920 Art deco chêne massif

Solid oak table or desk dating from 1920. Strong art deco detailing on the handles of the two drawers at the ends of the table. I have completely restored the table and given the top a new lease of life, the shape and colour of this table is fabulous! I have sanded the top then applied 4 coats of danish oil, the table is in superb condition, I have cleaned the body with wire wool and turpentine then re-waxed with liberon dark oak then polished the whole table to a soft shine. The drawers work perfectly without sticking or falling out. I have displayed the table as a desk for one or two people or a dining table for 4-6 people. There is plenty of leg room under the carved oak apron. The table is now ready to be used and loved again and this will not be difficult as the table is simply wonderful in every way.
