Date: ca. 1930 a thermal teapot with a distinctive modernist look. This model was produced by wmf (wurttembergische metallwarenfabrik) in collaboration with bauscher weiden for the porcelain container. The design of the pot is influenced by the functionality of the bauhaus style and the aesthetics of the art deco style. The pot has a silver-plated outer shell with a hammered effect and a hinged lid. The top knob and ball-shaped feet are made of white bakelite. The shell is lined with insulating felt. The removable porcelain inner container has a separate lid. The spout has a drip-stop system. The shell bears the wmf maker's mark (1930-1935), the volume designation (0.7 l), and the drp mark (for export goods). The porcelain container also bears a maker's mark. Condition: very good. The silver coating is in fairly good condition with barely any lightening and some very subtle scuff marks. The bakelite feet are a little discolored. Dimensions: 14 cm high, 23 cm wide across the handle and spout.
