LUMAX design Corbusier - Perriand tray

This ashtray is an authentic "glass block" from the Lumax brand, an absolute classic of modernist and industrial design from the 1950s to the 1970s. This ultra-thick moulded glass object is historically attributed to or associated with the work of the famous architects Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. Designed at a time when tobacco was ubiquitous, it originally served as a massive table ashtray before today being sought primarily as a brutalist catch-all for keys and coins.
