Italian Chiavari brass & blue velvet chair, 1950s

Fabulous 1950s italian chiavari chair. Originally designed by gaetano descalzi in the early 1800s and named after the town in which it was made they were originally made of wood. This later example dates from the 1950s and has a polished brass frame and blue velvet upholstery. The item is generally in very good vintage condition with the some signs of wear and tear and new upholstery.
