Mid-Century Modern Murano Glass Bowl, 1960

An extraordinary and substantial handmade vintage glass bowl or centerpiece dish from murano, italy made during the 60s. This piece has a fantastic emerald green base, with a warm amber or deep orange center, only visible from certain angles. This is a masterpiece and is showcasing the outstanding skills that the glassblowers from murano mastered. The shape reminds you of a boat and has a very nice organic form, which is typical for murano glass, as well as the use of strong colors, yet with simpler details, the result is a fantastic piece of art glass. It is about 16.5cm (6.49") in length, 12cm (4.72") wide and 6.5cm (2.55") high, there are some minor abrasions and air bubbles near the surface, yet overall it is in a very good condition and a real piece of mid-century modern art.
