Art Deco mirror plateau

This tray was the essential tool of the modern host. It was not used to clear the kitchen table, but to bring the "Gin Fizz" or the "Martini" to guests seated in leather club chairs. The base was made of a mirror because, at aperitif time, under soft lighting, the mirror reflected the sparkle of crystal glasses and the amber colour of the spirits. It was a staging of the drink. This rectangular model is made of an aluminium and wood frame with cylindrical wooden handles. The mirror is delightfully speckled.
