Magnificent chinese tea box, pewter box decorated with dragons, bats, deer, buffaloes, birds and lush vegetation, 19th century china. Very pretty chinese pewter tea box, finely carved, decorated with various fantastic animals (dragons, bats, deer, buffalo birds...), in a rich plant decoration (flowering trees, bamboos...) as well as with five golden chinese signs on the lid and the four sides, it is from the 19th century. This tea box is in very good general condition. It has its interior compartment. Its dimensions are 20.1 cm long, 12.3 cm wide and 9 cm high. The interior compartment, also in pewter, measures 19.8 cm long, 11.8 cm wide and 5.3 cm high and is perforated with holes all over its base. The weight of this fairly heavy object is 1, 770 kg.
