Hello. I am offering an autumn landscape in Normandy depicting an isolated, wooded farmhouse hidden on the banks of the Eure. In this region, since the dawn of time, the ancients have said that the rain, the earth, and the sky made a pact to give the Eure River its exceptional colors. This post-impressionist oil on canvas in perfect condition creates a true island of tranquility and silence in an original green setting. The balance and harmony of the colored nuances then become a poetry of nature. This vast romantic landscape seems inherent to the natural beauty that surrounds it and takes us into a distant past. This work is representative of the French school, particularly with its reflections in the river, a true mirror of Indian summer. Dimensions of the work: 55 cm X 46 cm. Dimensions of the frame: 64 cm X 55 cm. This oil on canvas, which is over a century old, is in perfect condition. It has been mounted, re-stretched, and completely cleaned by a professional. Then, a "winsor and newton" anti-UV satin varnish was applied. An old frame carved with foliage could be the original one. This frame has been completely restored, a special "old gold" type gilding for fine arts has been applied. This authentic work located around 1920 is the work of Albert Coignard (1895-1928), a listed painter who died prematurely at the age of 33. As a result, his works in perfect condition are rare. On the back of the original frame, the painter's handwritten signature appears but remains difficult to read. It also seems to write the words: "ferme du bâtiment à la croix", Eure. On request, a certificate of authenticity on honor as an individual is possible. The whole is ready to be hung for a reconciliation of human beings with nature.
