The candy box is in very good condition, no accidents, no cracks or chips. However, it is advisable to look carefully at the photos, the piece is old. We can see in a detail photo a small jump of enamel of a few millimeters on the edge of a petal of the rose constituting the grip of the lid. The porcelain is of very good quality, heavy and dense. The enamel has remained very shiny, but it has some very light gray spots on the side of the lid on the side of the stem of the rose. The interior is impeccable. Of very pure spherical shape, very slightly flattened, the piece rests on a light foot, 1.5 cm high, which stabilizes it. The grip of the lid is a branch of rosebush, leaves, bud, and blooming flower, occupying the entire upper part of the sphere. No other decoration, the sphere is everywhere else white and without other reliefs, which is very harmonious. It could also be used as a candy dish, a storage bin, a serving dish, or even a catch-all in the bathroom... A beautiful piece with generous proportions, very rare on the market, in fine earthenware dating from the end of the 19th century.
