Khokhloma vase, Russian lacquered wood craftsmanship, hand-painted floral decoration.

Here is a very beautiful lacquered wooden vase whose hand-painted decoration features lovely floral patterns, with beautiful colours: gold, black, and red. These are the traditional colours of this Russian craft, Khokhloma, which was highlighted by tourism in the 1960s and quickly exported and highly appreciated around the world. It seems to me that this vase dates from the 1970s or 80s. Its lines are also lovely, all rounded, with a well-proportioned shape. It has a printed label, almost intact, stating "made in USSR" (which also indicates that it must date from before 1991), and it also mentions an article reference, added in felt by hand. Inside, it is gold lacquered. It is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips, the decoration is intact, just a tiny dent that is very hard to see (see the last photo in very close-up and under the right light angle). This vase measures 16 cm in height, approximately 15 cm in maximum diameter, and 10.5 cm in diameter at the opening.
