Very beautiful brutalist table lamp attributed to B. Chalvet, dating from the 1970s. It is distinguished by its cylindrical ceramic base with a mineral appearance, adorned with engraved patterns inspired by hieroglyphs, and by its brown tobacco cylindrical shade. The base is decorated with incised graphic motifs reminiscent of ancient writing, giving the whole a very sculptural presence. The light, soft and warm, reveals beautiful coppery hues inside the shade. Its brutalist aesthetic, both primitive and refined, will make it a true focal point on a console, a chest of drawers, or a bedside table. Note: the ceramic has a vertical crack as well as marks, micro-cracks, and small chips related to its age. The shade is patinated, with some visible traces and irregularities. Sold in its original condition.
