Vintage German pendant lamp model 5526 in Space Age style by Alfred Kalthoff for Staff Leuchten, 1970s, set of 2.

Two very rare pendulums from the well-known manufacturer Staff, shining after a design by Alfred Kalthoff from the 1970s. Incorrectly attributed to Kazuo Motozawa. This lamp impresses with its impressive size. The base shape is simple. The soft curves are striking. The slatted umbrella is dissolved in the central area. The base colour is white. In contrast, the chrome-coloured slats are known as a design element of other Staff and Motozawa pieces. The slats do not have a purely ornamental character, but also serve a function. Through them, light illuminates the room. The light is primarily directed straight downwards. The umbrella closes with a wide rounded edge. The original Staff canopy. This project received an IF Design Award in 1975.
