Oak display cabinet/bookcase - Breton regional style - early 20th century

Large display cabinet or bookcase. Oak frame. Poplar back. 2 X 8 antique panes (bubbles, warps, etc.), 4 of which are broken. These will be replaced before sale. 2 X 5 shelves made of pine, poplar, oak, and elm (back then, they made do with what they had!). This is likely an old wardrobe converted into a display cabinet or bookcase. Some traces of these alterations are visible, particularly on the central vertical divider, which is notched to accommodate the lock. The ornamentation and motifs appear to have been added during this conversion. The lock and key are functional. The left door is held open by a spring-loaded latch that is unlocked by passing your hand through a hole in the central divider. Not very traditional, but original!
