1980s “Tokio” desk lamp by Shigeaki Asahara for Stilnovo, Italy

The “tokio” desk lamp is an iconic design by shigeaki asahara, manufactured by stilnovo in italy around 1980. Made of white lacquered metal, this piece has a unique structure with thin tubular metal arms between the square base and curved shape. It can be adjusted in position by moving the top back and forth, each position allowing a different esthetic appeal! It emits a bright, downwards light making this a perfect and unique solution for the office space but also a highly decorative addition to any other kind of interior. Labeled on the base, as shown in photos. The lamp remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
