Vintage wooden side table with trompe-l'œil system.

Authentic side table (which can serve as a bedside table, end table, or small centrepiece) made of solid wood and veneer in warm tones. It features a trompe-l'œil front. What appears to be a double drawer with hanging handles in blackened metal is actually a single deep drawer, ideal for storage. The piece also has an open niche accessible from the side, partially closed by an elegant vertical slatted panel. The legs are curved, and the uprights are crafted with grooves typical of reimagined regional furniture from the 1940s-50s. The top surface has cut corners with a lovely moulding. The table is sound, stable, and in its original condition. The drawer mechanism works well. Note the normal signs of use due to its age (some discolouration and light marks on the top, a small gap at the joint of the niches, and a few marks on the legs). It retains all its original patina but can also be waxed or varnished according to your preferences. Perfect for adding a retro, warm, and original touch to a living room or bedroom.
