Pair of leather and wood bridge armchairs – Directoire style, 1940s

Elegant pair of vintage solid wood bridge armchairs, with a simple and refined design inspired by the Directoire style. Cross-braced backrest, curved armrests, and seats upholstered in studded brown leather. Beautiful work from the 1940s-1950s, typical of French neoclassical furniture. Both armchairs are sturdy and comfortable. One has a beautiful original patina on the leather, the other is in excellent condition. Beautiful pieces full of character for an office, living room, or entryway.
