Old painting, snow landscape signed Salanon, mid-20th century

Magnificent watercolor depicting chalets and a barn in the snow in Haute Savoie. The watercolor is signed Salanon at the bottom left. It is placed in a glazed wooden frame with a red stripe showing some dents and a golden border. There is also a white fade all over that surrounds the watercolor on paper. Condition of the watercolor on paper: a few small dots at the top left and two cutter marks I think, vertical with a magnifying glass on the snow of the first wooden shelter. The frame would deserve to be changed to my taste in order to enhance the very realistic work of the artist. He has magnificently preserved both in the colors used and in the rendering of the lights, a work as close to reality as possible. With beautiful proportions, this painting will tastefully decorate and give character to your interior whether it is a chalet, an apartment in the mountains or simply a Savoyard business.
