Joshagan carpet circa 1970. Joshagan is an example of this classification system. Joshagan, located in central iran is one of the oldest continuous weaving centers in iran. It is known for its stylized geometric and floral ornament with a lattice pattern. Dimensions: 196x128 cm. Condition: general wear small weft points visible on the entire carpet. A stain and a restoration on the right side corner of 10cm by 10cm visible from the back of the carpet. On this same angle the carpet is less flexible... Missing fringes on one part and yellowing on another part.
