French oak blanket chest with gothic panels, 16th century. This blanket chest was made in the late 20th century, probably in the 1970s/80s, with original 16th century gothic panels. The panels probably came from furniture that could no longer be saved. It is very carefully made from solid oak and finished with metal hinges and beautiful handles.
