This beautiful rug is made about 30-40 years ago in the loom from very soft merino wool, the colors are very beautiful, colorful delicate flowers on beige and brown background, very boho as style. It is made in a horizontal loom in a little village from the historical region of banat, west romania. Never been used, it was kept in the dowery chest, in a very good shape. In romania, years ago, every mom handmade for her daughters beautiful carpets and rugs as dot for their weddings. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool rugs or other handmade items. Nowadays the art of handcrafting rugs is almost extinguished. Now, we are trying to discover and put into the modern design context these beauties. This is our story.
