Antique Dutch oak corner chair with turned spindles and new rush seat

This charming antique corner chair was made in the Netherlands in the early 20th century from solid oak. The characteristic turned bobbin spindles and triangular shape make it perfect for the corner of a room. The seat has been rewoven with rush. Because the weave is new, it still has a light green tint; this will naturally mellow to a warm, natural colour within a short time. The frame has a lovely patina and the new seat makes it fully usable again. Atmospheric in a hallway, bedroom, at a desk or as a decorative object in a country or wabi sabi interior. Condition: good, new rush seat; frame with a lovely patina.
