Beautiful and authentic antique wardrobe in the Louis-Philippe style, characterised by its simple and elegant lines and its lovely presence. The piece features a façade and visible parts in walnut, with warm and deep tones, while the interior is made of softwood, probably pine or fir, following a traditional construction commonly used for this type of furniture. Its silhouette is typical of the Louis-Philippe style, with a prominent moulded cornice, a deliberately simple and balanced façade, and two large doors framed by panels. Its timeless aesthetic allows it to fit well in an old house, a bastide, or a character home, as well as in a more contemporary interior, where it will bring a warm and authentic touch. The interior offers a generous storage volume and consists of several levels fitted with wooden shelves. The lower part is complemented by a large full-width drawer. Like all antique furniture that has stood the test of time, it shows some signs of its history. Notably, there are old marks from woodworm, as the piece has been treated. These now constitute signs of use and do not affect its usability. A small chip is also present in the upper corner of the right door, visible in the photographs. The wardrobe has retained its original antique hardware, including its locking elements and handles, which contribute fully to its charm and authenticity. It is a family piece originating from the Cévennes (Le Vigan).
