Beautiful sommerso vase design by vicke lindstrand for kosta boda - sweden - 1960 - crystal - rare piece, highly rated - signed - vicke lindstrand vases regularly sell for between €1000 and €2000 - mouth blown, the vase is made from a transparent base with a large amber yellow bubble that dips and drowns in a turquoise blue/green - signed: "kosta lh 1889" - in excellent condition. A few small scratches under the base, therefore imperceptible - viktor emanuel lindstrand [1904-1983] was a swedish designer and artist. He became known for his glass work, although he was also an illustrator, painter, sculptor and ceramicist - he is considered a pioneer of glass art - he was associated with the orrefors glassworks from 1928 to 1940, the kosta glassworks from 1950 to 1973 and then with studio glashyttan in arhus from 1977 to 1983 - dimensions: 22.5 cm - ∅ 6 cm - weight: 1.2 kg.
