Vintage Console Wicker Trompe-l’Œil Skirted Ghost Table

A striking vintage wicker console table featuring an elaborate trompe-l’œil design, with beautifully woven wicker creating the illusion of a fabric tablecloth draped over a table. Its sculptural silhouette, flowing lines, and scalloped lower edge give the piece an almost architectural presence. The rich chestnut-brown wicker adds warmth and texture, while the intricate craftsmanship makes it equally appealing as a functional console or a statement piece. Sometimes referred to as a wicker ghost table or skirted wicker console, this unusual design works beautifully in an entrance hall, behind a sofa, or as a display table for art, books, and collected objects. A wonderfully playful piece that combines traditional wicker craftsmanship with an unexpected sculptural form. In excellent vintage condition. W at top 110 cm. W at base 128 cm. D at top 41 cm.
