Weekly drawer / crumpled high chest of drawers with Florentine patina

Unique piece! Tall chest of drawers known as a "semainier" because it has 7 drawers: one for each day of the week. Handcrafted from solid pine around 1940/1950. The drawers are dovetail jointed, a mark of quality. The finish is a Florentine patina identical to that of the 18th century, which is a lengthy process requiring skill and expertise. The pigments are stabilised with a special matte varnish. Colours: terracotta and brown ochre. The drawers slide perfectly.
