An iconic piece of French design from the 1960s, this SF116 armchair, nicknamed "Dachshund", is a creation by designer Michel Mortier for the publisher Steiner, dated 1963. This is the rare "Senior" version, particularly sought after, featuring a headrest for added comfort. Its low and deep seat, combined with the elegantly curved shape of its shuttle-like armrests, gives it a sculptural and decidedly modern silhouette. The armchair has undergone a complete refurbishment by a professional upholsterer, respecting its original design, with a carefully selected high-quality fabric. Bibliographic reference: Les décorateurs des années 50, Patrick Favardin, éditions Norma, 2002, page 237. Total height: 89 cm. Seat height: 38 cm. Total depth: 77 cm. Seat depth: 48 cm. Width between armrests: 76 cm. A rare armchair, ideal for discerning collectors or lovers of vintage design furniture.
