Orange Kachin cushion - beige 50x50 cm

Kachin cushions. These cushions are made from "longyis" the traditional mixed skirt worn by the burmese. Each ethnic group (shan, mon, kachin, chin...) has its own motives. The kachin ethnic group lives in northeastern burma, their patterns are finely woven embroideries with geometric, zigzag or diamond shapes. Different embroidered patterns are linked on a longyi to make a unique piece - woven according to the inspiration of the weavers and according to the availability of threads. Younsone carefully selects longyis to produce between 6 to 8 cushions per longyi. These cushions come in several sizes and harmonize with the variations of embroidery. Characteristics: Dimensions: 30x50 cm, 40x40 cm, 50x50 cm. The patterns vary from one cushion to another and according to the sizes. Material: cotton. Maintenance: machine washing in delicate program. Closed by an invisible zipper.
