Oil on canvas "Autumn" by Jean Maréchal – Handmade wooden frame

Magnificent and authentic oil painting on canvas dating from the mid-20th century, signed in the bottom right by the French landscape painter Jean Maréchal. The work depicts a warm autumn landscape: a path lined with trees in vibrant shades of ochre and orange, leading to a house in the background. The technique is mastered, with superb impasto effects and relief that beautifully catch the light (a characteristic of authentic oils, visible in the detail photos). The main asset: Its art framing. The painting is enhanced by its original hand-carved solid wood frame.
