Elegant and cool chaise longue designed by P.J. Muntendam for the Dutch manufacturer Gebr. Jonkers around 1960. The Jonkers brothers were famous for their rattan chairs and furniture. It features a teak frame, a rattan backrest, and a black leather seat. Overall, it is a very beautiful mid-century modern chair that will fit well into any interior. The armchair is surprisingly slim and unobtrusive, yet remains very comfortable. The headrest can be removed, or the length adjusted using the buttons on the straps, so it rests higher than shown in the photos. It is in good vintage condition, with some signs of age and use, as one would expect from an original chair of this era. The rattan has very few defects that should not affect comfort or functionality.
