A great design classic from the 1970s, this papasan armchair, otherwise called “bowl armchair” or “loveuse” is a type of bowl-shaped armchair, with an adjustable angle. The bowl rests in a vertical frame traditionally made of rattan. Extreme comfort for a semi-recumbent position. The chair cushion is usually made of thick velvet filled with cotton down similar to that of a futon (not supplied with this one). Throws and cushions are an example of a presentation that can replace the original cushion. Some minimal traces of use (visible in photos). For the record, the so-called papasan chair gained popularity in the west when american soldiers of the second world war brought them back from the far east, where they were used in particular in indonesia, thailand, the philippines and japan since centuries.
