Rare wall sconces from Architectural Lighting based on a project by the famous industrial designer Peter Nelson from the 1960s. The design language and materiality of Nelson's designs reflect his experience in the aerospace industry. Aluminium is used as a "signature material" with precision and "engineering" treatment. His light fixtures feature a purist aesthetic that incorporates functional and technical details. A particular detail is the fine and delicate stem of the fixture made from solid material, where the spotlight is attached by a clamp. The wall mounting plate is a flat aluminium cylinder, watertight to the radiator plate. The black cable is visible above the spotlight and descends towards the switch and socket.
