Louis-Philippe pedimented mirror

Here is a louis-philippe mirror that really presents a beautiful silhouette. In the upper part, the pediment is part of a louis XV influence, which already prepares the more baroque tendencies specific to the napoleon III style. This splendid pediment surmounts the mirror which is lined with moldings all around and especially which offer to the eye, a remarkable golden ensemble. The wood covered with stucco is also accompanied by a pretty interior bead, which also reflects the memory of this period between louis-philippe (1830 to 1848) and napoleon III when the beautiful pediments broke a certain monotony in the lines of the mirrors of the time. The mercury mirror, has some beautiful traces of its age, but it is overall in good condition. The whole was intended to be placed probably on the deck of the chimney. There is in this mirror a form of elegance that will only seduce lovers of beautiful old works. The rounded moldings, the magnificent pediment, the tone of the different patinas give even more charm to this room which at more than 100 years!
