Mid-Century Danish Teak King Chair by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Onsild Møbelfabrik and Jutex, 1950s

Vintage design. An imposing armchair with armrests from the Danish manufacturer Onsild Møbelfabrik for Jutex, based on a design by Arne Hovmand-Olsen from the 1950s. A delicate design with high-quality materials and remarkable craftsmanship. The assembly of the individual elements of the armchair using spacers gives the design a unique lightness. The profiled backrest is slightly inclined and mounted at a distance with fine brass rods. The concave front is covered in black faux leather. The back of the bowl is made of teak and shows a rich grain. The finely crafted seat shell is designed similarly to the backrest. The armrests consist of a continuous element that wraps around the backrest at a distance, with slightly flared ends. The armchair is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The lower upholstery in faux leather has been renewed.
