THONET N°811 chair by Hoffmann in its first version - 1930/35 -

Chair No. 811, design by Joseph Hoffmann for Thonet, in its first version, circa 1930/35. The front legs are square and held by 4 cast iron brackets, two other brackets are on the rear legs. Aluminum stamp and label under the seat. The 811 existed in catalogs with two seat heights: 41 and 47 cm, here we have the relaxation version at 41 cm. Total height: 78 cm - - Seat: 41X45 cm The canework is in good condition, that of the seat is not original. I am attaching a copy of Zentral Anzeiger No. 104 from December 1930 where the 811 is described in its different versions, its designer is named: “Professor Hoffmann”.
