African talking chair

Very beautiful traditional African chair made of carved solid wood, of the type known as a palaver chair. An artisanal piece with a highly sculptural character, featuring a large curved and slightly hollow backrest, a separate seat, and a structure made of two assembled elements. The back of the backrest showcases a relief sculpture of a bird, a particularly original detail. Made from exotic solid wood, with a beautiful black/brown patina and signs of wear corresponding to its age and use. Probable origin: West Africa, possibly Côte d'Ivoire / Baoulé tradition, without a certificate of provenance. Estimated period: mid-20th century, to be confirmed. An old, artisanal, and unique piece, ideal as an accent chair or decorative element. Some marks, irregularities, and signs of time are visible in the photos, which are part of the character of the piece.
