Mid-Century German coffee table series 400 in teak by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Wilkhahn, 1950s.

Very rare coffee table from the Wilkhahn furniture programme series 400 based on a design by Hartmut Lohmeyer from the 1950s. The table impresses with its elegant design language and very finely executed details. The solid wood legs virtually pass through the top and are flush with the surface. The top is separately adjustable with a joint. There is a slight arch in the supporting structure beneath the top. The table is in very good condition with signs of wear and a repair.
