Vase very shiny and slightly pearly, with edging in hollow earthenware. Enamelling, coating, and decoration around the edge to 33 carats gold powder. Our model is part of the relatively rare black pieces of Accolay. The potters are preferred the polychrome even if the drawing perfect these turned parts enough to ensure their elegance. It is narrow at the base and then takes a form dished to regain narrowness and will flare at the pass, so that it acquires an anthropomorphic form. His method and quality manufacturing makes an object resistant to the elements (Sun, rain and frost) and by sealing. This vase is signed with the initials of the shield under the base as well as an A.7.Y. For Accolay, National 7, Yonne.
