Alessandro Mandruzzato was born in Venice in 1970 and represents the third generation of glassmakers on the island of Murano. At the age of 15, he left school to focus on the extraordinary art of working glass. Lessons from his father, he developed what would become his passion with the time: form and "give life" in a material particular and fragile as glass. He immediately began a personal project of study and research that led him to master the technique of grinding glass in its more bold and experimental applications. It is always up to date with the latest methods of work and continues the tradition of Murano, a thousand years, while still managing to turn a glass block into something that possesses an eternal aura. All his works can be considered autobiographical, since they are based on important experiences in his life. Some of them can be admired in several galleries and private collections around the world, including Milan, New York, Dubai, Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Recent international events, he participated in include: partner the Shorex Moscow Awards for "Most charitable businessman", 'the most extravagant business woman' at the Ritz Carlton Moscow in February 2011 and the master class in the SOS village in St. Petersburg in 2010.
