Magnificent 22-piece Haviland Limoges porcelain dinner service. Signed CFH (Charles Field Haviland) and GDM (Gérard Dufraisseix & Morel), this service was made between 1881 and 1890, a period of transition between Neoclassical styles and the beginnings of Art Nouveau. It is in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks, and the gilding is very well preserved. Composition: 16 dinner plates: 24.5 cm (2 plates with small chips, one on the reverse, will be included). 4 round serving platters: 2, 32.5 cm in diameter x 4.5 cm high (1 has a small chip). 1, 29.5 cm in diameter x 4 cm high. 1 x 24.5 x 4.5 cm (soup plate size) 2 small serving dishes: 21.5 x 12.6 x 2.6 cm Each piece is adorned with a charming hand-painted design of wildflowers in shades of yellow, pink, and soft green, intertwined with delicate ribbons. The whole is enhanced with raised gold details and scalloped edges, on luminous, fine, and elegant white porcelain. This set embodies the elegance of grand family dinner services of yesteryear.
