Modular desk from the "Burdick Group" series published by Herman Miller in the 1980s. The various elements are articulated on two beams and can be positioned at will according to the desired configuration. Thus, the drawer unit, the shelf, or the glass tops can be moved as needed. The whole is in very good condition and shows only a few signs of use. An additional drawer unit missing a drawer front is included with the set. Made primarily of solid aluminium, this desk is of exceptional quality and durability, with a timeless design. Delivery and installation are possible in Paris and the surrounding area for 100 Euros, as well as along the Paris/Deauville axis. Bruce Burdick (1933-2021), born and raised in California, graduated from USC and collaborated with Charles and Ray Eames at the Eames Office, then with the publisher Herman Miller to create the Burdick Group system that meets the needs of the most varied workspaces. The system is modular in size and configuration and can evolve to adapt to changing work modes. The dimensions are given as a guideline as they vary according to the configuration; for example, each beam measures 2150 cm and the rectangular glass top is 1510x91 cm.
