Pair of "44" model armchairs, also known as "Saturne," by Geneviève Dangles and Christian Defrance for Burov, circa 1957. Wooden structure covered in velvet-type fabric, champagne and aubergine tones, with black lacquered steel legs. In excellent original condition (this is the reissue produced by the original publisher Burov around 2015, purchase invoice from 2017 available; since 2020, Burov has ceased operations), with minimal signs of use and age on the legs. Superb overall appearance. Dimensions: width: 76cm, seat cushion diameter: 46cm, depth: 68cm, height: 72cm, seat height: approximately 36cm. Bibliography: The Decorators of the 50s, p.
