Beautiful French Art Nouveau vase made of polychrome crackle majolica earthenware, decorated with peonies and floral motifs, numbered and marked on the bottom. Gustave De Bruyn (Leuven 1838-1916 Lille) was a Belgian ceramist and the founder of the Fives pottery factory, located in an industrial suburb of Lille, France. Gustave De Bruyn participated in the 1889 World's Fair in Paris and received a silver medal for his beautiful pottery and cookware. In short, a master in the crafting and design of decorative and high-quality pottery, this vase is a beautiful addition for any collector or enthusiast of Art Nouveau pottery!
