Set of 3 wooden and straw chairs - brutalist look

This set of 3 antique chairs, in the spirit of character furniture popularised by Charles Dudouyt, embodies authenticity and warmth. A true favourite for these timeless pieces, they strike a perfect balance between rustic robustness and refined elegance. The structure of these seats is made from beautifully crafted solid oak, displaying a deep patina and superb grain that testify to their history. The seats, woven in a traditional checkerboard pattern, are in very good condition. Seat height is 44 cm. Their design is distinguished by a backrest composed of three horizontal rungs, combining unique aesthetics with seating comfort. The legs are simple and straight, reinforced by a set of lateral and front stretchers, ensuring their great stability. Being antique, they show a reassuring patina. It is worth noting the presence of scattered insect holes on one of them, which has been given special care. These chairs, with their decidedly rustic and brutalist look, will naturally find their place in both a warm country house and a contemporary apartment, where they will add a welcome touch of contrast.
