Colourful handmade rug, 255 x 160 cm - AZ839

A joyful and very expressive handmade Moroccan wool rug, filled with symbols inspired by the Amazighs, woven individually and scattered across a warm natural wool background. Unlike rugs built around a repetitive geometric pattern, this piece resembles almost a visual vocabulary. Small crosses, diamonds, triangles, chevrons, abstract figures, and linear patterns appear independently on the surface, giving the rug a spontaneous and artistic character. Each rug is handwoven by Amazigh (Berber) artisans, made from 100% natural sheep wool, woven on a traditional Berber loom, knotted and finished by hand individually, decorated with individually woven geometric patterns and completely unique in its kind. No mass production — only authentic Moroccan craftsmanship. The base is a warm natural ivory/beige cream, complemented by a playful mix of cobalt and deep blue, turquoise and sky blue, emerald and forest green, soft pink, orange, ochre/mustard, burgundy and brown, charcoal grey, and small multicoloured accents. The rug remains surprisingly easy to integrate into an interior despite its colourful personality. The most distinctive feature is the collection of small symbolic geometric shapes freely distributed across the rug. The colourful patterns are woven directly into the wool rather than printed on the surface. An excellent choice for eclectic interiors, contemporary homes, Mediterranean interiors, bohemian spaces, modern rustic interiors, Scandinavian rooms needing a touch of colour, children's bedrooms, or creative spaces, artist studios, neutral living rooms.
